Fellows of the Nigerian Society for Animal Production

In 1987, the Nigerian Society for Animal Production inducted her First Fellow, (now) Emeritus Professor V. A. Oyenuga. At the 33^rd Annual Conference of the Society, held at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Yewa Campus, Ayetoro, Ogun State, Nigeria, March 16 - 20, 2008, the 20^th and 21^st Fellows were inducted. They are Professor A. O. Akinsoyinu, a Professor of Ruminant Animal Nutrition at the University of Ibadan, Ibadan and Professor Jerome O. Gefu, a Professor of Rural Sociology and Agropastoralism at the National Animal Production Research Institute, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria.

During the AGM at the 33^rd Conference, two scholars were elected as Fellow-Designates. They are Professor M.M. Abubakar and Professor C.F.I. Onwuka, both Professors of Animal Nutrition elected as the 22^nd and 23^rd Fellows. Their investiture will take place on Monday, 16 March 2009 during the Opening Ceremony of the 34^th Annual Conference of the Society which will take place at the University of Uyo, Uyo, Nigeria.
