Conferences

The Society holds her annual conferences in March, a practice it has maintained since inception in 1973. The Books of Proceedings of these scientific meetings form part of the publications of the Society. The 34^th  Conference holds in Uyo, Nigeria in March 2009.

NSAP “UYO 2009” CONFERENCE  

The 34^th Annual Conference of the Society will hold at a landmark venue, the University of Uyo. The Conference tagged "Uyo 2009" has its theme, as "Animal Agriculture in Nigeria and the Global Food Challenges." The sub-themes would be on "Marketing livestock products in Nigeria: Concerns and Option" and "Transboundary control of Animal Disease spread in Nigeria".

CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS

Opening Ceremony: The Conference will be declared open by the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, while the Vice-Chancellor, University of Uyo, Professor A.I. Essien, the Chief Host, would chair the Opening Ceremony.  An accomplished Animal Scientist will deliver the Keynote Paper on the Conference theme.
